qualifying procedure / provisionals
Tracks (0.75 mile or larger)
Positions 1-30: Reserved for the quickest teams in the qualifying session.
Positions 31-35: Reserved for full time teams ranking highest in owner points and Golden A owners (full time teams that bring the same driver, car, and hauler to every race) not already in the field.
Position 36: Reserved for past driver or owner champion. If not used, the position is given to the next Golden A owner not already in the field.
NOTE: Past driver/owner champions can elect to use or not elect to use the past champion provisional. Drivers or owners can forgo the first provisional bracket (31-35) to use the provisional. Teams must meet minimum speed to use any provisional.
Short Tracks
Positions 1-28: Reserved for the quickest teams in the qualifying session.

Positions 32-34: Reserved for Golden A owners (full time teams that bring the same driver, car, and hauler to every race) not already in the field or teams ranking highest in owner points.
