- Ron Cox to
drive for Hixson at
Salem: Ron Cox will slide through the window of the #23
Hixson Motorsports Chevrolet for the first time in three and half years
for the April 5th running of the ARCA RE/MAX Series Kentuckiana Ford
Dealers 200 at Salem Speedway. While Cox has continued to race on a
part time basis for the last five years, he has not raced the #23 since
August of 2005. "We are going to Salem to give it our best shot," Cox
added. "We are confident we can run in the top 10, and
hopeful that we will do better than that. We don't have a lot
of funding this year, wait, let me rephrase that, we don't have any
funding so far this year, so to take an unsponsored car in and run up
front will hopefully help us out and attract some attention to our
efforts. Right now, we are just going to run each race as the
come, run hard, and see how long we can keep going." (ARCARacing.com)

- Sherman to
return with Stringer
Motorsports: Brent Sherman will make a return to the ARCA
RE/MAX Series at Salem Speedway in the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers 200 on
April 5. "After I stopped racing ARCA full time I stayed very
busy racing in the NASCAR Nationwide Series and the Indy Pro Lights
Series," said Sherman. "But I couldn't pass up an opportunity to return
to ARCA because I have always loved racing here. It's just such a
competitive, fun series. My last ARCA win was a one-off race at
Michigan in 2006 and I won the race. My son Cooper was a one-year-old
at the time. My daughter is one right now so I am hoping that is the
magic number and we can win at Salem in April." (ARCARacing.com)
