  • Kevin Belmont to drive No. 20 at Pocono UPDATE Mike Holt: As the hunt for a replacement driver in the No. 20 continues, Kevin Belmont will climb behind the wheel in Pocono this weekend in order to keep the car in contention in the point standings. (ARCARacing.com) (07-28-09)
    UPDATE: The Pocono entry list shows Mike Holt as the driver of the No. 20 Eddie Sharp Racing Toyota. Mike Holt previously competed in ARCA at Rockingham Speedway in 2008. (07-31-09) 
  • Steve Arpin joins Venturini Motorsports for Pocono: Steve Arpin announced yesterday that he will be joining forces with Venturini Motorsports for this weekend's Pennsylvania ARCA 200 at Pocono Raceway. The arrangement will put Arpin in the driver's seat of the Venturini Motorsports No. 25 Toyota Camry. "We had a good start this year with ESR with all the guys and we all came a long ways each and every week," said Arpin. "It's hard for me to leave behind a team that I have worked so hard with, but at the same time I am very excited looking forward." (ARCARacing.com) (07-28-09)

  • Sheltra Motorsports hires driver coach: Sheltra Motorsports announced today that NASCAR veteran Ted Musgrave has joined the team as a driver coach for Patrick Sheltra beginning with Saturday night's [race at Berlin Raceway]. Musgrave will work with "Mr. Showtime" on all the aspects of racing hoping to guide Sheltra back toward the front in the ARCA RE/MAX Series championship chase and most importantly victory lane.   • Jesus Hernandez competing at Kentucky with Truex Jr UPDATE: [Jesus] Hernandez will compete [at Kentucky] in a car entered by Martin Truex Jr. Hernandez will drive the no 56 Chevrolet with support from Lavendar Boutique and G.C. Pollex and Associates.  The team, made up of many Sprint Cup employees moonlighting on this project, has made this a true grassroots effort.     UPDATE: Jesus Hernandez qualified 12th fastest with a 30.807-second lap but made contact with the turn two wall during his second lap of qualifying.   • Eddie Sharp Racing seeking replacement for No. 20: "Steve [Arpin] has been unable to secure the necessary funding for him to continue past Berlin.   • Darrell Basham Racing team members injured: Faye Briley and Laura Blalock, ARCA members of Darrell Basham Racing, were seriously injured in a car accident Wednesday in Jeffersonville, Indiana.   • Brett Butler, Ken Butler III to drive No. 1 ABR Ford: Andy Belmont Racing and LoanMax have reached an agreement to field the No.1 LoanMax car for the remainder of the 2009 ARCA Re/Max Season.  The schedule will be split between Brett Butler and his brother Ken Butler, III.  The Butler brothers will be racing the No.1 LoanMax Ford Fusion with Roush/Yates motors.   • Andy Belmont Racing and Tom Hessert part ways UPDATE to RAB Racing: RaceTalkRadio.com reported on Tuesday night that Andy Belmont Racing and Tom Hessert have parted ways.  Kevin Belmont will reportedly move to the No. 1 while the team looks for another driver for the No. 14. (06-25-09)

    OFFICIAL: RAB Racing announced today that Tom Hessert III will pilot the No. 09 Cherry Hill Classic Cars Ford Fusion for the remainder of the 2009 ARCA RE/MAX Series season.   • Chad Hackenbracht to attempt Iowa: 17 year-old Chad Hackenbracht will attempt to make his ARCA debut at Iowa Speedway driving for his family owned team, CGH Motorsports. The No. 58 Chevrolet will be sponsored by Tastee Apple Inc. Tastee Apple Inc is owned by the Hackenbracht family. (07-02-09)

  • Larry Clement, Matt Carter returning at Iowa: Larry Clement and Matt Carter will be reuniting for the running of the Prairie Meadows 200 at Iowa Speedway July 11. The event will mark the return of both to ARCA RE/MAX Series competition since the season-opening ARCA 200 at Daytona. "I've been trying to put a package together for this race," said Clement.   • Venturini Motorsports tests Johanna Long at Iowa: Pensacola, Florida driver Johanna Long, in a Venturini Motorsports-prepared Chevrolet, made her first laps in an ARCA RE/MAX Series car Tuesday in the open test at Iowa Speedway.
