  • Mark Gibson Racing going out of business:  Mark Gibson Racing has posted an advertisement on's classified section stating that the team is going out of business.  The team is selling four cars, three engines, a Freightliner, and other equipment. (11-26-10)
  • Nick Igdalsky running Grand-Am, part time ARCA in 2011:  "Next season, I'll be running Grand-Am for the majority of their season, a majority if not all of the Grand-Am races. I'll run the first few ARCA races, Daytona and Talladega, and at least the first five, for sure." - Nick Igdalsky ( (11-24-10)
  • Diversity Motorsports to field cars in 2011:  Diversity Motorsports is about as diverse as it gets as far as race team ownership goes. The owners of DMS are long-time racer/car owner Bob Schacht, motorsport sponsorship marketer Tina Kennedy, and entrepreneur Terrance Cox III who is the CEO of  Eko Custom Sandals. All of these people were touched by one individual; Ricky Byers. DMS has signed on long-time racer and Championship Legend Car owner Nick Pistone, as well as 21 year old racing phenom Hannah Baker in addition to Mike Bliss and Ricky Byers. Currently, Bliss is scheduled to drive for DMS in the NASCAR Nationwide Series next year with Byers, Pistone, and Baker all in the ARCA/ReMax Series at the start of the year. Once he has NASCAR's approval Byers will team up with Bliss in the Nationwide Series for the remainder of the season.   • Winchester returning to schedule in 2011: The ARCA Racing Series will return to Winchester Speedway, the "World's Fastest Half-Mile," on Saturday, June 25, 2011, for the series' first visit to the Indiana track since May 2007. "It's important for the ARCA Racing Series to be at Winchester Speedway. It's exactly the type of Midwestern facility where the ARCA brand is well-known and has the chance to be successful," said ARCA president Ron Drager. ( (11-24-10)
  • Andy Belmont preparing Daytona car for Basham: Andy Belmont Racing will prepare a superspeedway car for Darrell Basham for Daytona. ( (11-19-10)
  • Larry Hollenbeck selling team?: Larry Hollenbeck has posted a classified on that lists cars, a car hauler, motors, a pit box, and other racing equipment for sale. The Portage, MI driver did not make any starts in 2010 and is not likely to return in 2011. (11-17-10)
  • Darrell Basham loses cars and equipment in fire: Darrell Basham recently lost much of his racing equipment as a result of a fire that consumed the garage that housed his superspeedway and short track cars. The fire happened while Basham, who hauls freight across the country as an independent trucker, was on a run to the west coast. "It's unfortunate, but what are you going to do? These things happen, and it happened to us," said Basham. In addition to the loss of two cars, Basham lost most of his tools and spare parts. "Last thing I want to do is quit. Racing has been my life; but we may be out of business now. Really not sure what we're going to do at this point. ( (11-17-10)
  • Sheltra Motorsports to continue:  Patrick Sheltra stated on RaceTalkRadio's October 19th show that Sheltra Motorsports will continue to field a car in the ARCA Racing series in 2011. Sheltra is expected to move to NASCAR next year. (11-02-10)
