- Gibson
Motorsports, John Gibson
moving to ARCA: Gibson Motorsports announced today their
intent to move their team from the USARacing Pro Cup Series to the ARCA
Racing Series with driver John Gibson at the helm. “The
USARacing Pro Cup Series is a great series and I’m very
appreciative of the time we’ve spent there, but as a company,
we feel that advancing our platform to the ARCA Racing Series in 2011
just seems right,” said John Gibson. “The
transition will not be easy. We’ve decided to sell the USAR
cars to allow another team or driver to add some good race cars to
their fleet. Once we’ve crossed that project off,
we’ll focus on looking at some ARCA cars to buy.
We’re going to ease ourselves into the series.
We’re not planning to race until mid-season or near the end,
but it’s going allow us some time to make sure we do
everything right and even allow me to do some coaching or other
racing-related things on the USAR side if need be.” Gibson
also stressed that his limited schedule in ARCA this year will be
dependent on the team’s sponsorship dollars. (Gibson

- Ryan Wilson
joins Win-Tron Racing
for five: Ryan Wilson has signed a letter of intent with
the Win-Tron Racing to compete in five ARCA Racing Series events.
Wilson is scheduled to take the wheel of the No. 32 Southern Pharmacy
Services Toyota Camry beginning at Pocono Raceway on June 11, 2011.
“We welcome Ryan Wilson to our Win-Tron Racing
family,” said Win-Tron Racing co-owner Nate Thiesse.
“When we met Ryan and his family earlier this year, we could
see the passion and drive in Ryan’s eyes and we knew if he
did come to our stable, the combination of Ryan and our team has the
potential to leave our competition in the dust. We’re looking
forward to the five races and building towards an even stronger
schedule in 2012.” (Ryan
