  • Ken Schrader wins at Salem: #52 Ken Schrader won Sunday's race at Salem Speedway, holding off #22 Kyle Weatherman, #55 Dominic Ursetta, #74 J.J. Haley, and #98 Austin Wayne Self. Six cautions slowed the race for 43 laps. Point leader #23 Grant Enfinger finished in 13th position after breaking a rear track bar late in the race. #6 Josh Williams, who entered the weekend second in points, finished in 19th after losing power in the first half of the race.   • Levi Youster severely injured: Former ARCA driver Levi Youster was severely injured on Friday, April 17th when he was struck by a car in a Chattanooga, TN parking lot around 2:00 AM. The impaired driver of the car continued driving with Youster trapped underneath it for nearly four blocks. Youster was transported to a local hospital and is expected to live, despite losing half the flesh on his body. A GoFundMe account has been created to help with medical expenses. (04-27-15)
  • 26 cars on Salem entry list UPDATE: Twenty-four cars are currently entered for this Sunday's race at Salem Speedway. Notable entries include #3 Josh White, #22 Kyle Weatherman, #25 Brandon Jones, #34 Darrell Basham, #52 Ken Schrader, and #55 Dominic Ursetta. Full Entry List (04-20-15)
    UPDATE: The entry list has increased to 26 cars. #10 Clayton Weatherman, #15 Frankie Kimmel, #68 Mark Meunier, and #74 JJ Haley have all been added as drivers or new entries. (04-24-15)
  • Josh Williams adds Salem sponsor: Josh Williams and his family-owned team will have local support from Fields Auto Parts, as well as backing from longtime supporter, Southwest Florida Cable Construction [at Salem Speedway]. “Everyone at Josh Williams Motorsports is appreciative of the support from Field’s Auto Parts,” Williams said. “With their continued devotion to the local community, as well as a welcoming atmosphere to others, their model is much like everyone at Josh Williams Motorsports, treat everyone as family."   • Frank Kimmel to drive third Venturini car at Talladega: [Venturini Motorsports has] focused its efforts on fielding its flagship No. 25 Ansell-Menards car in a split season for Frank Kimmel and Brandon Jones. Both drivers were originally scheduled to split the 20-race ARCA schedule with 10 races each with Talladega reserved for Jones.  Thanks to a collaborative effort between VMS, Menards, Tide, 101 Ranch Records and Richmond Water Heaters, the team will now field both drivers at Talladega. Jones will pilot the No. 25 Tide-Menards Toyota, while Kimmel will slide behind the wheel of the No. 15 101 Ranch Records-Menards Toyota. Jones will be debuting the bright orange Tide colors. Additionally, VMS will field the No. 55 JEGS Toyota driven by Joe Gibbs Racing development driver, Cody Coughlin giving the team a solid three-car effort in an event where teammates can make or break your chances to visit victory lane.   • Team owner Brad Hill passes away: Sad news has arrived from Illinois where ARCA car owner Brad Hill passed away Friday morning at Carbondale Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, Illinois. He was 63. Brad owned cars that were most recently driven by Shane Cockrum annually at the Illinois State Fairgrounds and the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds. "Brad was one of the most loyal friends I ever had," Cockrum said. "He didn't have a lot of family so his friends were his family. He was a loyal friend to so many. He was a wonderful man and I am deeply saddened by his passing. We're all in a state of shock." Brad Hill Racing was planning to compete at both events at Springfield and DuQuoin in 2015, with additional plans to add Chicagoland Speedway to their schedule.   • Kyle Benjamin to race at Pocono with Venturini Motorsports: Chris Knight, from Catchfence.com, has tweeted that Kyle Benjamin will drive for Venturini Motorsports at Pocono Raceway later this year. Benjamin has 15 ARCA career starts in the last two season. He recently won the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race at Bristol Motor Speedway this past weekend. (Twitter) (04-20-15)
  • Brad Smith to run full season for Hylton Motorsports: Brad Smith will compete in all ARCA Racing Series events this season for Hylton Motorsports. Smith's website states that he will use the ARCA Ilmor 396 engine on all intermediate tracks, while he will use older engines on short tracks. This will be Brad Smith's first full ARCA season since 2010. (04-13-15)
  • Bubba Pollard, Goodson Racing unable to race at Nashville: Bubba Pollard and Goodson Racing had hoped to make their ARCA Racing Series season debut last weekend at Nashville, but were unable to due to a missing SFI certification sticker on the car's driver seat. The team posted on its Twitter account that it plans to race next at Toledo in May. (04-13-15)
  • Grant Enfinger wins at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville: #23 Grant Enfinger won the Troop Aid 200 at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville for his third straight victory of the season. #52 Matt Tifft was second, while #98 Austin Wayne Self, #25 Brandon Jones, and pole winner #22 Kyle Weatherman completed the top five. Three cautions slowed the race for 34 of the 200 total laps. Full Results (04-13-15)
  • 31 cars on Nashville entry list: Thirty-one (31) cars are currently entered for Saturday's Troop Aid 200 at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville. Entries include #03 Kevin Rutherford, #1 Bubba Pollard, #5 Clair Zimmerman, #10 Rick Clifton, #14 Ryan Heavner, #27 AJ Fike, #55 Clay Greenfield, #68 Brian Finney, #80 Chris Bailey Jr, and #81 Kevin Campbell.   • Lira Motorsports announces Cole Powell as Talladega driver: Lira Motorsports is excited to announce the addition of Cole Powell to our ARCA Racing Series driver line-up. Powell will be joining our team for the International Motorsports Hall of Fame 200 at Talladega Superspeedway on May 1st. The Mount Brydges, Ontario driver has two previous ARCA Racing Series starts at Daytona International Speedway in 2014 and 2015. Before making his ARCA Racing debut in 2014, Powell won NASCAR Whelen Modified Rookie of the Year honors in 2013, becoming the first Canadian to capture this title. “We kept our eyes on Cole at Daytona in February, and he impressed us, running up front for a good portion of the race," stated Lira Motorsports team owner Carlos Lira. “We’re confident that his consistency and precision behind the wheel will lead to a great finish in Talladega.   • Venturini Motorsports signs Clay Greenfield for Nashville: Clay Greenfield and Venturini Motorsports have teamed up for the Troop Aid 200 at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville. Greenfield, a Clarksville, TN, native has raced partial NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedules over the last 4 seasons. Excited for the opportunity, Greenfield will drive VMS’s No. 55 Seal Master of Nashville/1-800-SEALCOAT/Southern Pipe & Supply Toyota. “This is the most excited I’ve been about any race in my career,” said Greenfield. “As a middle Tennessean I have strong emotional ties with the Fairgrounds.   • Win-Tron Racing seeking partially funded drivers: Win-Tron Racing has placed an advertisement on ARCARacing.com in hopes of securing partially funded drivers for Talladega and beyond. Win-Tron had competed in the series full time for several seasons. The team has not raced in ARCA since losing Frank Kimmel and Menards sponsorship to Venturini Motorsports early this year.   • Ryan Heavner returning at Nashville: Ryan Heavner is set to make his return to the ARCA Racing Series. The family owned North Carolina team will hit the road for the April 11th [Nashville] event. The team will enter the short track as independently owned Ryan Heavner Racing. This is after a busy off season filled with preparation. Ryan Heavner Racing would like to thank all of their sponsors.
