Have you ever wanted to sponsor Earnhardt’s car? Get ready – You can! A grass roots sponsorship effort to help a hard-working driver, by the name of Earnhardt, is your opportunity to help field the No. 3 Chevy. It starts with a simple email!

Hixson Motorsports (HMS), based in Soddy-Daisy Tennessee, has announced that Bobby Dale Earnhardt will pilot the No. 3 Hixson Motorsports Chevrolet in the upcoming ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards race weekend at Toledo Speedway.

Crystal Bates, of HMS, says that things for Earnhardt piloting one of the HMS cars had been underway for a few weeks.  Two efforts were underway – getting the car ready and doing everything they can to help Earnhardt sign additional sponsors – of any size!

“It’s exciting,” Bates said. “Bobby Dale met with us a few weeks ago at the track, we all talked, and things grew. We all explored the opportunity for him to gain some seat time behind the wheel of a National touring series. He’s working hard to move things forward, build his career, make the move to the next level, all while trying to land sponsors for his efforts.”

According to Bates countless people would love to help sponsor a car driven by a member of one of the most legendary family names in racing. She’s right – there’s no telling how many fans have dreamed over the years of being able to sponsor a race team – especially with the name Earnhardt above the driver window.

“Bobby Dale is a great guy,” Bates said.  “He’s more than just a driver named Earnhardt. He has a wonderful family, he’s a hard worker, and is looking to build his seat time in order to move up the ladder in stockcar racing. And, he’s doing it the hard way – knocking on doors, building relationships, rolling up his sleeves. Now the Chattanooga, Soddy-Daisy, East Ridge, and entire area can help!”

Earnhardt is looking for sponsors of any level. “Of course, the bigger the better, would make it easier,” but any level would be appreciated according to Bates. In addition, the race will be broadcast on Fox Sports via FS1.

“Bobby is looking for a main sponsor and associate sponsorships. But, I’m sure he’d appreciate any help that he can get from race fans. If you would like to have your name on the car as a sponsor contact Bobby Dale Earnhardt at sponsorbobbydale@gmail.com .”

About Bobby Dale Earnhardt

Earnhardt is the oldest grandson of famed NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Sr and son of Kerry Earnhardt. His brother, Jeffrey Earnhardt, drives full-time in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series behind the wheel of the No. 33 Chevrolet SS for Circle Sport – The Motorsports Group.

Bobby Dale Earnhardt competed in the ARCA Racing Truck Series where he was named as the 2013 Rookie of the year. During the same season, he finished the season 6th in driver points.

As his grandfather began his racing career with little more than a dream and determination, Bobby Dale too plans to climb to the top one rung at a time.

“I’m working to raise the money on my own and start in the development series like everyone else,” Bobby Dale said. “The last name always draws a crowd … It definitely puts pressure on me, but at the same time it gives me something to strive for. Everyone expects me to be at the top and I’m going to work my hardest to get to the top and be my best at it. It’s kind of hard when I have bad days because everybody jumps on you. But it’s a learning thing. You have a bad day and you learn from it.”

HMS Talladega Wrap Up

Bates indicated that racing at Talladega can be exciting but it can also have its low points. The two-car team of HMS had a combination of a “good day and rough day” at Talladega Superspeedway.

“We had a top-fifteen finish which was great but the No. 2 car has major issues and had to pull behind the wall early,” Bates said of the two-car team at ‘Dega. “The No. 3 car was driven by Ray Ciccarelli last week and he finished 13th. But, Eric Caudell, (Driver of the No. 2 HMS car) finished 35th because of a major electrical issue in the motor.”

Caudell will continue as the driver of the No. 2 HMS Chevy with Earnhardt as his teammate at Toledo Speedway. The race will be aired on FS1 Saturday, May 21 at 5:00 pm. Live timing and scoring is available online at arcaracing.com.
