Dallas, NC (April 19, 2023) – Caleb Costner makes his return to the ARCA Menards Series at Talladega Superspeedway this weekend piloting the Costner Weaver Motorsports #93 Chevrolet in the General Tire 200. Derek Kearns will again be atop the pit box serving as Crew Chief.
Costner and the Costner Weaver Motorsports team returns to the ARCA Menards Series after making their debut in the season opener at Daytona International Speedway in February. After showcasing good speed in the draft and running as high as 15th, Costner drove the Lickety Lew’s – All Purpose Bow Yow Sauce/Innovative Tiny Houses Chevrolet to a 24th place, lead-lap finish at Daytona for the all-volunteer race team.
“As a small but growing team at Costner Weaver Motorsports, the valuable knowledge and lessons learned, both good and bad, we gained from Daytona were essential for the betterment of our team. It prepared us more for what to expect when we get to a track like Talladega and changes we have made and will continue to make to make our cars faster,” owner/driver Costner said.
“Overall, our goal from Daytona was leaving there the way we came with a clean racecar and providing ourselves a shot to go to Talladega and we’re doing just that!” Costner remarked.
Costner looks to build on the momentum going into Talladega saying, “Our confidence is strong heading into this weekend and we’re looking forward to showing the rest of the field we’re serious contenders that will be there at the end of the race.”
