“We had a really good car all night,” said Kimmel. “We were just a little, little bit off from what Grant (Enfinger) had. I really felt 2-3-4 were all right together. I was able to keep Grant in my sights most of night but that’s about it.”

Kimmel, who’s splitting time behind the wheel of the No.25 car with Brandon Jones, scored his fourth top-5 of the season – ninth overall for the Ansell-Menards team.

“Our team continues to perform at a high level each and every week. It’s only a matter of time before we break into the win column. Nothing would make me happier than to do it for our guys,” added Kimmel.

The series takes a weekend off before returning for the 53rd running of the 100 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds mile-dirt in Springfield on Sunday, August 23rd, followed up by the 62nd annual Southern Illinois 100 at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds mile-dirt Labor Day Monday – with Kimmel back behind the wheel of the No.25 Ansell-Menards Toyota.
