Concord, NC (September 16, 2015) – Frank Kimmel II (Frankie), son of 10-time ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards champion Frank Kimmel, will pilot Venturini Motorsports’ No.55 Aisin USA Manufacturing Toyota during the Federated Car Care Fall Classic at Salem Speedway on Saturday, September 19th.
“I was born into this series (ARCA) and grew up watching my dad race and win championships. I can’t tell you how special it is to return to series as a driver and have the opportunity to race with and against him,” said Frankie Kimmel. “Some of my earliest childhood memories are at Salem with my dad in victory lane. It’s going to be a great weekend!”
Frankie Kimmel, the third generation driver, has made seven ARCA series starts, with a pair of career-best seventh place finishes at Salem Speedway in 2011 and 2012.
“The Fall Classic is shaping up to be one of the best and competitive fields the series has seen all year. It’s a tough track (Salem) but there’s no doubt our Venturini guys will give us a strong Toyota and a legitimate shot come Saturday night.”
No stranger to Salem Speedway, Frankie Kimmel is a 2-time Salem Super Stock Champion (2009, 2012) and won Salem’s Rookie of the Year in 2007.
