Grant Enfinger and the No. 23 Allegiant Travel Chevrolet team earned their sixth victory of the 2015 ARCA series season Saturday night at Salem Speedway in the Federated Car Care Fall Classic 200.

Starting from the 10th position, Enfinger methodically climbed to second before the first caution occurred on lap 67. During the caution period, Enfinger experienced an electrical issue causing him to come to pit road. The Allegiant Travel crew resolved the problem and returned to the field ahead of the pace car to remain on the lead lap. A short time later, crew chief Jeff Stankiewicz called Enfinger back to pit road for a track bar adjustment under the same caution. ARCA penalized Enfinger for coming to pit road while it was closed, forcing the No. 23 Allegiant Travel team to restart from the back of the field. When the second caution of the race occurred on lap 92, the leaders cycled through pit stops and Stankiewicz strategically called for Enfinger to stay out to gain track position, hoping for a caution closer to the end of the race. Luckily, a caution occurred on lap 156 and Stankiewicz called Enfinger to pit road for four new tires and Sunoco fuel, restarting in the seventh position. With 25 laps to go, the 30-year-old took the lead from No. 69 Will Kimmel with Enfinger holding the top position until the checkered flag waved in the 200-lap event.

With two races remaining in the 2015 driver championship battle, Enfinger has a 225-point lead over Josh Williams going into next weekend’s event at Kentucky Speedway.

Grant Enfinger’s Quote:

“The Good Lord was watching over us yet again this weekend. Some how I hit the kill switch during the first caution and the motor shut off, but we bounced back. The Allegiant Travel crew did an outstanding job making sure I beat the pace car and remained on the lead lap. We had a really fast Allegiant Travel Chevrolet SS tonight. I couldn’t have done it without my team and sponsors: Allegiant Travel, Alamo Rent A Car, WURTH USA, Champion Power Equipment and Portable Shade.”
