Levine, Jones, Flores And Snider Test ARCA Cars At Hickory

August 6, 2015 (Hickory, NC) – ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards Talladega race winner Blake Jones and ARCA Scott Rookie Challenge points leader David Levine were on hand at Hickory Motor Speedway this afternoon. The duo tested a pair of ARCA composite body cars on the .363 mile North Carolina oval to prepare for the remaining short track races on the 2015 ARCA Series schedule.

They were joined by Ricardo Flores and Myatt Snider, who also drove test laps on the Speedway. It was the first time behind the wheel of an ARCA car for both drivers.

Flores, who is a native of Lima, Peru, is a veteran of IMSA and SCCA sports car racing. His international resume of road course competition includes the prestigious Rolex 24 at Daytona in January this year.

Snider is a 19-year old college student, and a regular competitor in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series (NWAAS). He came to the NWAAS after collecting multiple wins and championships in INEX Legends and Bandelero competiton. Myatt’s father, Marty Snider, is a long time network television broadcaster of both NASCAR and Indy Car races.

“We learned a lot today that David and Blake can use at the race in Berlin this weekend,” team owner Carlos Lira commented after the test. “We had the opportunity to have Myatt and Ricardo test today as well. They are both very talented drivers, and our team hopes to have the opportunity to work with them again in the future.”

For David and Blake, on-track activities for the Federated Auto Parts 200 at Berlin Raceway begin on Saturday with practice sessions from 2:30-3:15pm and 3:45-4:30pm. Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell is at 5:45pm, with the Federated Auto Parts 200 scheduled to start at 8:50 pm. Live timing and scoring will be available on ARCAracing.com.
