
Asheboro, N.C. (November 3, 2014) – Roger Carter has signed an agreement to partner with Jack Hughs, to form C&H Motorsports in 2015. This car will race full-time in the ARCA Racing Series.
“This partnership helps both of us,” Carter stated of his partnership. “Jack (Hughs) has wanted to race full-time for a while now, and having acquired a significant amount of assets in the past few months, I was able to make this happen.”
This car for will be prepared by Jack Hughs, and be piloted by multiple drivers during the 2015 campaign. This car will be the No. 64 Ford Fusion, with powerful Roush-Yates Engines throughout their entire fleet, which is approximately 8 cars in total. This team’s debut will come at the Daytona International Speedway in the season opener, running under the C&H Motorsports banner. The team to plans to run their Fusions throughout the 2015 ARCA Racing Series season, as it will be a 50/50 partnership with Roger Carter. Because of this agreement, Carter 2 Motorsports will utilize the C&H Motorsports shop, located in Illinois, when the series makes its annual northwestern swing through the Midwest.
“Jack has some great Ford and Roush-Yates Performance equipment and I believe it can compete throughout the entire 2015 season,” Carter said of Hugh’s equipment. “He has a lot of power sitting in his shop and I am excited to be a part of helping get it on track. Granted, it will be different having equipment I will not really see until I get to the track, but have full faith that he will put together some great cars for me and my drivers. It will also help my team (Carter 2 Motorsports) out when we are in the north. It will help us keep from having to run back to North Carolina every week, allowing us to bring strong cars to the track every week.”
Carter 2 Motorsports has made it clear that this acquisition is by team owner Roger Carter and his personal assets, not any of the team itself.
