Braden, a two-time ARCA/CRA super series champion, at the start line of his first full-time ARCA season
DAYTONA, Florida – ARCA Racing Series Presented by Menards driver Travis Braden will get behind the wheel for the initial race of his first full-time ARCA Series schedule on Saturday at the Lucas Oil 200 Driven By General Tire.
The Team RFMS driver will start the chase for a championship with 80 laps in the No. 27 MatrixCare-Consonus Healthcare-Liberty Village car at Daytona International Speedway.
“The 2018 season is finally here, and I couldn’t be more excited about the opportunity to show my team, our sponsors and race fans what we’re made of,” said Braden. “In the first few ARCA races I ran, we were racing in a family-owned vehicle, so it was a true test of our crew’s determination, grit and talent. I’m incredibly grateful that RFMS saw our potential and has given us the opportunity to drive for them this season. We’ve been working harder than ever. And I’m ready to leave it all on the track this season.”
Though this will be his first full season in ARCA, Braden is no stranger to the racing world. He won in his first career start at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis, and posted top 10 finishes four other starts between 2015 and 2016, at Kentucky, Kansas, Michigan and Chicago. Braden is a two-time ARCA/CRA super series champion.
Braden, who earned a dual degree in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University, subbed for RFMS Racing in the back half of 2017.
