Braden Prepares to Keep Momentum Going at Pensacola
DAYTONA BEACH – Travis Braden finished 8th today in his first race of the ARCA Season in the Lucas Oil 200 at Daytona International Speedway.
“What a great race! This was such a fantastic way to start off the 2019 ARCA Series season for RFMS Racing and all of our sponsors with an 8th place finish, a clean car and a lot of momentum heading to Pensacola,” Braden said. “It was a great week here in Daytona. This team has a completely new look and it was cool to get to unveil it all at such a huge event. All of our sponsors got a clean new look, with MatrixCare headlining as our primary. RFMS has put all hands on deck. It’s just been really humbling to see this whole program grow.”
“All I wanted to do here was race hard but come home in one piece. We knew if we could do that we’d get a solid finish. Now we can polish this car, set it aside for Talladega, and focus on the other 18 races a little bit more. That’s huge in my opinion. I can’t wait to get the “regular season” going. Thank you all!”
Daytona marks the first top 10 finish for Braden in 2019. During his first full ARCA Series season in 2018, Braden had four top five finishes and 11 top 10 finishes while finishing fifth in drivers points.
Braden’s passion for the sport of racing runs as deep as the valleys of the Appalachian Mountains. At tracks in Columbus and Xenia, Ohio, Travis secured more than 100 victories before he was 13, and at age 17 he notched 10 victories and was crowned the Columbus track champion, the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series State Champion and the NWASS National Rookie of the Year – all before graduating from high school.
Braden is a two-time ARCA/CRA Super Series Champion, and is continuing to be committed to the ARCA Racing Series for the remainder of 2019, where he’ll work hard to stay a fierce competitor and bring home strong finishes for his sponsors and RFMS racing.
