MIDLOTHIAN, IL 10/10/16 — Ty Majeski, Roush Fenway development driver, has officially entered the ARCA presented by Menards finale in the Roulo Bros. #17 Forest County Potawatomi Ford for this Friday’s Kansas 150 at Kansas Speedway.
The ARCA Kansas announcement comes on the heels of a big weekend for Majeski, who won the Oktoberfest 200 for the first time at Lacrosse Speedway. His performance at the 47th Annual Oktoberfest Race Weekend helped him clinch his third ARCA Midwest Tour championship, making Majeski the first person to ever win three ARCA Midwest Tour championship titles.
This will be Majeski’s second start on a mile and a half and first start at Kansas Speedway. “I’m just hoping to build on everything I learned at Chicagoland,” said Majeski.
Ty’s first start on a mile and a half at Chicago last month was impressive, “We unloaded with really good speed at Chicagoland. I was happy with the balance in the car,” Majeski commented, “Gary Roulo and the entire Roulo Bros. team did a great job.”
As a member of the NASCAR Next Class of 2016, Majeski posted the 6th fastest qualifying time after being near the top five throughout practice. Majeski consistently posted lap times in the top three throughout the race. Ty later took the lead on lap 76 off pit road, and led the field to the green with 20 laps to go. After some intense racing at the front of the field, Majeski made a save for the highlight reels, hanging onto the car at a full 45-degree angle through turns 3 and 4 after being hit from behind. Ty ultimately came home with a solid 8th place finish.
The ARCA Kansas 150 can be seen on FS1 this Friday night October 14th at 7:30 PM CDT.
