Cunningham Motorsports Drivers Have Busy Week on the Horizon

Mooresville, N.C. – March 17, 2016 – Both of Cunningham Motorsports rookie drivers have a busy schedule this week. They will start the weekend as competitors before returning for a charity event as teammates.

Kevin Thomas Jr. (KTJ) and Chase Briscoe are running the Shamrock Classic, on Saturday, March 19th at the Southern Illinois Center in Du Quoin, Illinois. But, the Cunningham teammates will be competing against each other in the USAC National Midget season opener. KTJ will be aboard the No. 2X, while Briscoe will pilot the No. 33. In Briscoe’s last three races at the Southern Illinois Center, he has two victories and a fifth place finish.

On Sunday, the drivers will once again become teammates when they team up for Fun at Fastimes, a three hour Enduro Go-Kart charity race at Fastimes Indoor Carting in Indianapolis, IN. This event is for the benefit of the USAC Benevolent Foundation, which provides for the needs of individuals or their families, if a racer is injured. KTJ’s team is the three-time defending champion of this event.

Tuesday, March 22 the Cunningham organization will test at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville in preparation for their next race, which is April 9. Both the No. 22 team, with crew chief Paul Andrews and the No. 77 team, with crew chief Chad Bryant will make the trip to the historic Nashville track to give their drivers valuable experience on the .596-mile track.
