Herr’s Chase The Taste 200 Event Preview
Short Track Master Returns… Grant Enfinger, the winner of the first three Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) presented by Menards races of 2015, looks to take home yet another short track victory at the world’s fastest half-mile Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Ind. Enfinger will pilot the No. 23 Allegiant Travel / Stutzman Custom Carpentry Chevrolet SS.
Third Time’s a Charm… This weekend’s event will mark Enfinger’s third start at the Winchester. Ind., short track. Enfinger has one top-five and two top-10 finishes at Winchester Speedway. Enfinger’s average starting position is 9.5 and his average finishing position is 7.0. In the 2015 season, Enfinger has won two out of the four short track races on the schedule in Mobile and Nashville. The Fairhope, Ala. native is running for his 12th trip to ARCA’s victory lane, and his ninth short-track victory.
Where Enfinger Stands… Enfinger still holds the points lead heading into the series’ halfway point with a total of 2485 points after a second place finish at Chicagoland Speedway. He currently has a 85-point lead over Josh Williams in the ARCA national championship point standings.
Winchester Chassis… In his third start at Winchester, Enfinger will pilot chassis No. 200 for the second time this season. This chassis last visited Toledo Speedway where Enfinger posted the fastest time in qualifying and led the field for 153 laps in the 200-lap event before a late race electrical issue relegated the team to a 19th-place finish.
Meet Grant… Enfinger is scheduled to participate in an autograph session on the track from 12 noon to 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, June 28th.
