David Levine heads to Winchester Speedway this weekend for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards Herr’s Chase the Taste 200. As the series begins the second-half of its 20 race schedule, the talented rookie driver is looking to build and improve on the six top-10 finishes he recorded in the first half of the year.

This will be David’s first time testing his skills on the 1/2 mile Winchester, Indiana track, known as the “World’s Fastest 1/2 Mile.” The track’s 31° banking in the turns is similar to the layout at Salem Speedway, where David finished 9th earlier this year. Including Salem, the first 10 races featured four short tracks, and David finished in the top ten at three of the four.
David enters the race ranked 1st in the Scott Rookie Challenge standings, 5th in ARCA Series driver points standings, and 5th in the Calypso Lemonades Short Track Challenge standings. The Herr’s Chase the Taste 200 is the fifth race of 11 races that make up the Short Track Challenge, a championship within the overall series championship for the best driver at tracks one-mile or less in length.
Get David’s autograph: David will be participating in the ARCA Series driver autograph session at the track on Sunday between 12:00 noon and 1:00pm. Stop by to say ‘hi’, and get the autograph of the Scott Rookie Challenge points leader.
David Levine on racing at Winchester Speedway: “I’m looking forward to getting my No. 59 Momo / Ford Performance / TraqGear Ford Fusion back on a short track. Having never been to Winchester, I’m going to have to learn the track really quickly. It looks like a fast track, which I think will be tons of fun. I can’t wait to get on the track Saturday afternoon!”
“I want to congratulate Ryan Reed, my Lira Motorsports teammate last week at Chicagoland, on his dominating performance and win. Awesome job by both Ryan and the 58 crew!”
